Members of the Underground Railroad often used specific terms, based on the metaphor of the rail way. The Railroad was often known  as  the  "freedom train”  which  headed  towards "Heaven" or "the Promised Land"

The FreedomTrain  Community  Empowerment  Platform is a  Douglass initiative that combines the creation and acquisition of digital and real world assets, bottom-up cooperative governance models, and distributed ledger technology to provide “all” with essential goods and services for free or at the lowest possible cost.

FreedomTrain is the culmination of 20 years of high-level economic and technical planning as well  as  half  a  decade  of  development  that  has  both  needed  to  await  emerging  web3 technologies to mature as well as years to develop DiFi technologies that go beyond the capacities of emerging technology— All done to create emancipatory futures for all.
